Focus and Scope
The Human Rights Age Journalis a scientific journal of international relevance, published in English, peer-reviewed and open-access, containing papers concerning Human Rights from different approaches. This Journal is edited in the framework of the Research Network “The Age of Rights” (HURI-AGE), composed by about one hundred researchers belonging to some of the most important human rights research groups in Spain (more information: http://redtiempodelosderechos.com/).
This network aims to analyze integrally the reality of human rights in contemporary societies by identifying the main challenges and problems they face today, or may face in the future, and to propose possible solutions leading to the establishment of an international rule of law. Our aim, in short, is to contribute, through the scientific reflection, to make the 21stcentury, eventually, the age of rights.
Peer Review Process
The submitted manuscripts will be considered for publication if they receive favourable reports from specialists outside the publishing institution and the editorial board. At least two anonymous referees will evaluate the unsigned manuscripts submitted for publication to TAHRJ.
This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
Decisions on articles and book reviews submitted are normally made within two months. If the manuscript has not been accepted or needs revision, the author will be provided with a report indicating the reasons for non-acceptance, or the changes required for its publication.
Even in case of a positive evaluation, manuscripts not conforming to the author guidelines will be returned to the authors for further revision.
Publication Frequency
The AHR Journal will be published biannually, in June and December.
